Note:
If you have more time you could add Ginkaku-ji (Silver Pavillion + Garden) and Kinkakuji (Golden Pavillion) on your itinerary. In Kyoto, it is more convenient to travel via bus rather than train because. Even though it took longer travel time but they have bus stop in every corner of the city (most of them very near with the tourism spots) and you can hop on to the bus unlimited time with the daily pass that cost only 500 yen.
